That is the same in UK Time Attack. If you run within a certain percentage of the class above you have to move up into that class. Lets say the SEMI-PRO-STREET you can't do a lap time under 2:10 on the track in Zandfoort.
If you do, you are disquallified and have to re-enter the class above with more strickt technical rules and If it happens half way the season you will go from the quickest to the slowest.
There is a Dutch guy who drives an Astra VXR in the Club FWD class of the UK TA, Bo Nielsen.
