The coilovers I have don't have a nut welded on the fork for the rears. The manual says the bolt is M12 * 1.25mm. Where can I get a nut that will fit this? Halfords were no help at all........ There must be a website that will sell some that will fit but where? What 'strength' should I be looking for?
Cheers,

My replacement oem shocks I swapped out for my Koni's had no captive nuts. The garage used a complete replacement bolt/nut to fit them. I'm not sure they would have checked for a 'strength' as long as the length and diameter were correct.

Grade 8.8 (often referred to as 8 ) will give you the strength you need, and as its the most readily available grade it should make them relatively easy to get hold of. Critical thing to remember is that you need the fine pitch (1.25mm) as opposed to the 'standard' coarse pitch of 1.75. Avoid galvanised finish as the threads on those are cut deeper in the nut to allow for the coating on the bolts.
Prob not the cheapest but......
