Started to refurb the alloys. Using guides and 'how-to's' from different forums. Today tried it with one to see how it would go. Just put paint remover (from halfoards lol) and then sanded it down. Looks like this at the moment, sorry didn't take no pictures of the wheels during progress but this is the only one.

Need to sand it even more and then primer and colour of my choice.

Thinking of Purple with glitter.

Ooooooooooooo I like the purple one with glitter.

One question, do I just sprinkle the glitter once the purple paint is still wet and the clear coat of lacquer?

It's a difficult finish to pull off. The base coat goes on, then you have to spray glitter and lacquer mixed together, then once dry you have to wetsand it down to a smooth finish, then reapply more lacquer. I dont think you can do it without a proper compressor and gun.

I did one of the wife's guitars a few years ago, it's an easier shape than a wheel but it was quite tricky.

you could always do what i was going to do... Spray first top coat, when wet put the glitter into a salt or pepper shaker and from a height sprinkle it on from above and then only the face should get the sparkle. Plus the degree of sparkle is regulated by your wrist action.
