Hey up every body
Yes I know I havnt been on for a while, Iv had a problem with my laptop and not had chance to get it fixed, but now its all up and running again.
Hope every bodys alright?
Well since I was last on the lude has gone through its MOT with just a couple of adviseries. One of which is an oil leak.
Iv done a bit of digging and aparently theres a common oil cooler o-ring problem?
Any one got any hints or tips about this.
Iv been underneith and most of the back of the engine is coverd in a film of oil so not realy sure to be honest
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

That sounds just like the oil leak I had on mine. The oil filter fixes onto a housing that, I believe, is connected to the oil cooler. There is an O ring between the housing and the block. Mine started leaking after a service with filter change. The leak got really bad to the point where I had to jack it up to fix without getting a new seal in advance, as didnt know the origin of the leak at this point. I ended up using gasket sealant with the old ring, and cured it completely. If your leak appears to come from above the filter then I would advise ordering an O ring before you look too deeply into this.

Yeah it does. nearly the entire back side of the engine is coverd from one side to the other.
But its such a pain to actual see or get your hand in to wipe/clean any thing
Had a word with my local parts place and they can get me one if I find the part number out or the dimensions of it

Lings list it as part number PFKL1010217, O-RING, 62.4X3.1. I think that must be the inside diameter.
Its part 27 on this.....
