I understand what your saying but defiantly between 2nd and third it stays in vtec. I think it has on all my previous preludes also. 1st and 2nd though, your right, I don't slip the clutch I spin the wheels slightly.
What rpm did your spreadsheet change at? I personally change right at the top 8k just before I bounce off the limiter

yes your right it is around 112 in 3rd or maybe slightly lower, but mine drops out of vtec between 1,2,3 and 4, but in the lower gears its so close that you dont notice it, but if you watch the tacho you can see that it actually does. as for the flappy paddles, its fairly simple, was more intrested as to what controll the ecu has over the auto box, if not that much then im buggered and need to go back to the manual conversion, would be a shame as mathamaticaly it would be great
but then if ecu hasnt much control then how does the sport mode work
supose i could just look and see what parts in the auto box are wired, that would give me an idea of how much control i would have

If you get a VAFC from ebay you can see if the box is definately dropping out of vtec, and if it is, lower the vtec change over
Installed one in my old lude, use plenty of heat shrink and solder, double and triple check the instructions before cutting and it's all fine. Then read the instructions PROPERLY before turning the car on and everything is fine, you can adjust the vtec pretty easily in it.

dont really like these controllers, if vtec is changed doesnt the fuel air ratio and or ignition timing also need to be changed or can all of the above be done with this gizmo?
