Also, have you been weighing all the junk that you're removing? It would be interesting to see how much weight you have actually shed there, because that looks like a lot of parts!!!
I would love to get it flocked but it's an un-necessary expense at the moment. It would weigh even more but I had previously removed the AC evaporator, so that should be in that pile as well.

bennyboy what you on about?

Nafe - Yeah I was expecting a big bar across the car :?

I forgot to say I'm now convinced this water leak has been a major problem with teh car since day 1, and the sole cause of my bouncing idle. Whilst my idle no longer bounces (well..... not regluarly anyway) it does still idle high. Air in the system caused by this hidden leak?

So hopefully in a couple of weeks time I'll have a sorted engine/cooling system and new drive shafts that doesn't give any judder 8-)

Yeah I'm going to use a micro heater matrix with built in fan http://www.t7design.co.uk/index.php?mai ... 9b5f6bb595 To make best use of this I need a UKDM manual heater valve that is able to stop the flow of the hot coolant to the micro heater matrix should I want to switch it off. In addition the manual heater valve is able to regulate the flow of hot coolant so that only a specified amount is reaching the matrix, adjusting the heat (how the regular heater matix operates, just on a larger scale).

Just a thought, but you could swap the JDM valve for this: http://www.t7design.co.uk/index.php?mai ... cts_id=196 I suppose you'd still need the control and cable though

Good idea. Would I need only one? I take it only one of the hoses is an input, although would I need a valve of the output as well?

I never did work out how the JDM heater worked :? It doesnt have a valve like the UKDM, if it does it isnt in the same place.

Ah right, well then - yeah, you'll need one of those. And even a brake cable from a bike should work for the movement of it. It's only one cos the flow is in/out. Stop the in and nothing can come out :)
