pop nitrogen into them rather than air as well. its the only reason i would ever recommend going into kwikfit but its way more stable.

215/45-17 is the correct size according to my door sticker. Wiki is FoS.
Mine was on 40s when I bought it and being a red top, it was a tad undergeared. The Falkens were a tad harsh too.
I dislike putting oversized tyres on an existing rim, since the result is usually a feeling of sidewall sogginess and Hondas hate that.
TBH, a set of good tyres in the correct size will allow precise steering and gentle drifting from both ends. Too much grip ruins the handling. The Toyobaru uses exactly the same size for a car of similar dimensions/mass/power, and that's not entirely co-incidence.

I've been using 225/45/17 for years and I like the setup. However, you will need to grind off the small notch thingy sticking inwards from the very front tip of the rear bumper.
I have the Honda optional lowered sports suspension (as supplied on the Motegi). It used to rub when there were four people are in the car and steering. In a straight line it was fine. I had a look at the rear when people were been sitting in the back and could see that it rubbed at the exact point mentioned above. Here's a pic borrowed from Merlin post on PUK years ago:

I bought a Dremel type multi tool (actually a Draper) and ground it down that by a few mm.
