I wasn't always a believer in stuff like this, until I met my missus.

Her mum is a psychic/ card reader, I've seen some of her readings. She'll sit down with people she's never ever met and tell them all about their past, bad things and good things that have happened in their lives in some detail. She would literally have every person she did a reading for in emotional tears.

The date didn't occur to me. I've just been watching a lot of shows lately.
I don't believe in Friday 13th anyway. Superstitions are primitive beliefs. :geek:

I have to be believe because both my sister and mum have seen ghosts of monks. My mum when she was sixteen back in the late sixties went into her work canteen to have lunch and there was already a monk sat at the table... The house I grew up in was built on an apple orchard owned by monks and when I was 6 and my sis was 4 she looked up and stood behind me was a monk reading a book.... she never told me till years later..

The house me and my mrs lived in before the one we're in now is haunted but I'm not going to tell you what happened in that house because you'd never believe me and yes I do have photo proof......
One thing I will say was we were looking after a friends dog and we were about to go out and I went running out of a room and down the hall towards the dog sitting down in the back garden as if there was someone stood in front of it petting it on the head but I realised to late what was going on and disturbed the dog.....

I've seen ghost cars, a ghost of a girl walk past me and also seen a ghost of a girl waiting to cross the zebra crossing I was approaching only to find when I'd slowed down there was no one there .......

i think people see what they want to see and when tired or stressed your mind eyes and ears will all play tricks on you i have seen/heard loads of stuff mostly when senses are heightened when i was in country on mission after about 72 hours with little sleep lol

My mum's side of the family are all into this, the psychic stuff, spiritual healing, all that. Total sceptic myself, it's just psychological slight of hand I reckon. Empirical observation over blind belief always. I do often catch glimpses of cats in the house out of the corner of my eye, only to look and see nothing there. See people shapes too sometimes. I know what it is though - I suffer from sleeping problems and have done for years, I rarely take the medication for it though so I'm constantly tired from lack of sleep. Your eyes don't work so good when your sleepy, and your mind will quite happily turn a blur into something recognisable. The human brain loves making something meaningful out of random nothingness. Throw in the fact that that belief is a strong force over the human mind and then we really will convince ourselves things are real!

Gotta say that no matter how much of a sceptic I am, I love watching all the shows on the discovery chanels etc, everyone loves a creepy mystery. Which reminds me, my mates and I used to go exploring in the remains of Hellingly Mental Hospital. One night we were exploring a large second storey room overlooking the courtyard. The floor had collapsed near the centre and I was leading the way around the wall. I noticed reflections glinting on the floor by a window - shone my torch down and there were spent shotgun cartridges all over the floor  they'd been there some time as the metal parts were corroding, but it was creepy as drokk. Wish I'd taken a picture!! Never seen anything like it before
