A little while ago my brother told me about an experience he had in Mexico. He is normally a proper sceptic when it comes to anything paranormal but he was 100% serious when he told me about this...

Anyway there was a storm and my bro, being a big fan of inclement weather, was on his hotel balcony looking out. He said this big cloud was coming towards him, a bit like something out of Independence Day, and then all of a sudden this strange creature flew out of the cloud, turned towards him and then went over the roof of the hotel. He said it was clear like a jelly-fish with the strange moving neon lights on it, but it was shaped and moving much like a manta ray

My bro is not one to make this kind of stuff up, and his girlfriend who was there too backs his story up! I haven't seen any similar reports anywhere on the internet except for an old video of a manta ray filmed out of a plane at several thousand feet. I sent him the link to that video but he said it wasn't that because what he saw was more like some sort of deep sea creature with the neon glow.

Anyway, that was weird!

I've heard of those. There are videos. I'll try and find one.

Cool cheers. My brother would be happy to see such a video so he can prove to himself that he's not going mad.

I've got loads of ghosty experiences too from when I was a kid living in the family home...

Many people saw my dead cat... It got so frequent that people would mention they saw something running across the room or the back of the sofa etc that we would just say "oh it's just the cat!" and think nothing of it. We stopped even thinking to mention she wasn't alive. My wife (when we first started going out) actually thought we still had a cat until I remembered to mention it had died some years previous.

I remember doing a ouija board once as a young child and my mother asked us to get it to spell out my great grandmother's maiden name (which none of us knew at the time), it then spelt it out! I was a bit sceptical at first thinking my Mam might have told one of my friends the answer - but to be honest none of them were clever enough to have thought to put an "e" at the end of the name "Wilde".

Here's the famous NASA tether incident. I'm a little sceptical about this one. :?

People assume that my username has something to do with the car (since it's black), but it's actually a reference to "shadow people" and how (when I used to do security) I'd always appear in the nick of time and then disappear again. -stealthy-

True story.

I'm also a huge fan of the paranormal. Lived in two haunted houses, and have visited numerous haunted sites locally. I seem to be a bit of a magnet for the "other side" as even when I'm in seemingly benign places, weird stuff tends to happen. Of course, working in security for many years, I had the opportunity to hang out in some unusual places at unusual times. Museums, cemeteries, factories, apartment complexes, hotels, hospitals/morgues, warehouses, shopping malls/stores.

I have personally witnessed orbs, mists (white, gray-ish, and red), full apparitions, EVPs and audible voices, touching/pulling/tugging, objects being moved (happens more often than I'd like), smells (grandmother's perfume on command at her old house). I have witnessed pets reacting with unseen entities, and, encountered (from a distance thankfully) two shadow/stick figures. Last summer there was an unnerving experience of three sharp, heavy knocks on the wall/ceiling in my house. I'm not happy with the prospect of what that was signifying.

On the other end of the spectrum, I have observed three UFO's since 1996 (I see lots of unidentifiable lights and objects in the sky but I know of three that weren't satellites, aircraft, or, celestial events simply because of how they moved), and at least one childhood encounter with something I'm fairly certain was not terrestrial. I'm curious about it, but I have read where people do more damage than good by retrieving memories like that, so I'm not going there.

I've heard a lot about the London Underground being quite the hot spot for paranormal activity. I'd love to give that a shot sometime, or make a trek up to Greyfriars and visit George Mackenzie. :D
