I'm taking them anyway. You never know, might get an hour of dryness :scaredtoss: I have the RainSports anyway and they like the wet.

Are you popping over after Work?

04/07/12 - TrackScotland KH Reverse

Post by Merlin » Sat Jul 07, 2012 4:03 pm

04/07/12 - TrackScotland

Format - 4 hour open pit on the reverse circuit
Cost - £100
Conditions - Wet, wet, wet

My two Ludes together in the same photo :o

The day started well, it was sunny and roasting hot while we were putting the wheels with the semi's on. A few warmup laps were needed behind the safety car as the majority of drivers had never driven the reverse circuit before. Just as we went out for this it started to rain  and it kept on raining  . Semi's off and the RainSport 2's on!

The only major issue I had on the day was that I had leaked water from my heater martix which caused my temp guage to hit the red (yup there is a red bar on the 4G temp guage ) I let the car cool right down, filled the rad and expansion tank, bled the system, and all was well after that. I was getting the same judder over 70 but TBH I didnt really notice it when hammering round the track.

The car was handling great, even in the wet 8-)

The vid is compilation of the day. Learning what was possible while on a wet track full of people who were in the same boat as me resulted in a challenging day. Great fun though, the most fun I have had in ages.

The GPS signal was a bit iffy so my indicated speeds are up to 10mph slower than what I was really doing, same with the circuit tracker. Sometimes the app is displaying completely the wrong speed, never mind as its a bit of fun. The vid is in 720P HD.

Heh, doesn't look as scary in the video ;)

@newkid - Very very lowered. As low as he can get it!
