whats the braked towing limit on a 4th gen?

bearing in mind that my track one is a fair bit lighter than standard

not planning on doing it any time soon as i need to do the test etc

but for next years sub 9's ring trip

My dad towed my lude to PAW on a 500kg trailer with a 2.0DTi 100bhp vectra. Think the curb weight is around the same so should be ok.

Was a bit scary on the motorway mind when the trailer starts rocking in the grooves from the trucks in the slow lane

Have you looked at the price of doin the trailer test? I think it's near £600-700!

Alternative is to do the hgv test at £800 if you ever have the need to drive one?

Ive towed a prelude in a corsa combi van before if that helps.

I've towed an Aerodeck with an Aerodeck also

The Aerodeck's tow limit is pretty much the same as it's own weight, which is simular to the lude, but obviously that much more under-powered.
