Re: Jay's Lude
Right then, if I'm to come over for Japshow I'll have to focus on the few things that won't cost me an arm and a leg (and she's already booked in for the rust so theres no turning back!)
I'd like focus oN:
- Valve clearances FREE
- Re-wire amp/pc wiring down center of car FREE
- Fit heated seat elements FREE
- Re-wire VTEC lights FREE
- Give leather a good clean FREE
- Align interior FREE
- New 5th gen intake manifold to PA to have the EGR port caps removed and ports threaded. £150
- Polish new rocker cover FREE
Just the IM work then. Woop! Should be able to set some money aside to get that done

I most likely am bud, will find out closer to the time though
Cars in the for the rust today!! Driving some Rover hatchback diesel thing
Once the rust work is paid off I'll book the ferry/tickets/hotel.
I think when I do the brake fluid I'll paint the brake calipers as well
Nice shiny silver I'm thinking. I need new brake discs as well I think, they're getting quite a ridge

Re: Jay's Lude
Well, as Japshow is pretty near and I've got to shell out £217 for a ferry, an arm and a leg for the rust, a hotel and petrol I've decided to not do any costly work to the Prelude before Japshow
Which means leaving the IM until after

Re: Jay's Lude
I'd most likely book it for the 17th June, get into the UK at about 10am, pick up a friend in Bath and stay at some hotel near Santa Pod then drive down early on Saturday.

We need to work this hotel chat out really. When you looking to book?

Re: Jay's Lude
I was thinking mid next month, once I've got the rust bill at the end of the this week and sorted a few things out I'll be in a position to book it.

No more rust and sanding rocker cover
Busy weekend! I did the engine mounts and started sanding the new rocker cover. But first....
Rust is gone! Along with the aerial:

Also did the engine mounts, fitted the poly inserts. I only took a few pictures:

And the damaged front mount:

And now the rocker cover. With the paint nitormors'd off:

And a bit of sanding:

I tested the finer sandpaper on a little bit. 180 grit, 400, 800 then 1200 grit:

And the most of it sanded:
