Well I don't really fancy paying Honda £257.40 or £274.62 each to replace mine and the part numbers for a 2nd gen's are almost identical... Only +1 out on the fronts and -9 on the rears of a 10 digit long part number (ie. Accord FR R = PFKL704379, Prelude FR R = PFKL704380). So I'm hoping the only varient is in the length.

Failing that or Benny's thrown them out already, a 3rd gen Prelude is just +2 on the part number on all four corners.

Well I may end up removing the ABS on mine due to the pain in the arse hassle of the ABS rings on the CVs, so if I rip the ABS out of my car, you'll be more than welcome to dibs on the parts mate.

Only have one sensor as one had been already taken off by the previous owner.

Your welcome to it!

There is some progress!

I've taken the engine out now to find the oil filled with shot blast material gutted. At least I know what was the problem now! Onwards and upwards!

Image

The engine builder has written a list of stuff that is happening/needed for the build.

Chemical cleaning both block and head, cylinder rebore and hone, repair damaged camshaft bearings, cylinder head skim, and block decked.
Donor block

Piston Rings
ACL Race Engine bearings
Head gasket Kit
Block gasket Kit
Water Pump
Timing Belt
Champion Oil filter
Dizzy cap and rotor arm
Spark plugs
Ignition wires

Extras are

Big bore throttle body
FSE fuel pressure boost valve
Adjustable Cam pulleys

Head work will be:

matching the inlet manifold, porting out the plenum intake to the larger throttle body polishing the inside of the inlet manifold, reworking the inlet and exhaust ports, reshaping the valve guide ramps and guide ends, polishing chambers and deshrouding around the valve seats.

He says:

With the headwork adjustable cams, exhaust manifold, exhaust system, bump in compression ratio from 9.4:1 to 10.5:1, adjustable fuel pressure regulator we should get a nice output of around 180-190bhp maybe more with excellent torque low down as well probably around 155-170lbft which would certainly make your car very lively!!

Excited!

Also found a shot I took and edited just before then engine farked out.

Epic photo as usual bud 8)

And WOW, that's quite the uprated compression if he can achieve that! :D Engine mod list sounds great. Great to hear you're sticking with the original lump as well and not just taking the easy route and dropping an H22 in there :)

Did you get my PM on the sensor by the way?

loving this build. I took a few pics of this car at japfest. Do you have an interior shot of the mirror? Also got any wheels for sale?

You're a wee bit further away than I imagined. Any chance of popping it in a jiffy bag?
