Shell V Power

Went to fill up with fuel today.

Normal unleaded was advertised as £1.26 per litre, cool!

Lifted the hose for V Power, £1.89. Jeeez!

Put in £15 . Couldn’t justify anymore at that price.

£1.59 for V Power in Edinburgh.
When it first came out I think the price difference versus regular unleaded was 7 pence per litre.

10p a litre difference in the Shell garage nearest to me.

At 1.89 I'd expect them to hire a proper sommelier to fill up the car.

25p difference on V Power near me.
Its worth using one of the websites for finding cheap fuel-that is what I should be doing so its a good reminder.
Tesco E5 Momentum and Sainsburys E5 super unleaded are worth a look.
Here are prices near me:-
Tesco E10 £125.9 E5 Momentum £133.9 (+8p)
Shell E10 £134.9 E5 V Power £159.9 (+25p)
Sainsbury E10 £129.9 E5 Super Unleaded £141.9 (+12p)

Quite a spread of prices.

Esso Supreme+ Unleaded is E5 99+ RON as well - avoiding supermarket fuels.
That’s what I use in the BB4 rather than Shell (I always regarded V Power as a rip off, plus: nectar points on Esso)
