Jay's Lude
Re: Jay's Lude
I'm most likely getting a new intake manifold, so instead of taking mine apart I'm just going to clean the new one up with new gaskets etc and have it fitted. Going to try and have the EGR ports drilled out and threaded so I can just use little bolts
So provided my clutch line arrives today/Saturday my list is a bit shorter.
- Distributor cap and rotor (cap has arrived already!)
- Fuel filter
- Transmission fluid
- Clutch line

A lame excuse. We want pictures - and lots of them!JayJay wrote:I'm waiting for it to get here

Re: Jay's Lude
Yay!
Distributor cap and rotor fitted. The other ones weren't too bad (don't look too old
) but I swapped em anyway. Also replaced the gearbox oil. The magentic bolt had quite a bit of metal on it! New fuel filter fitted, that was a nightmare to get out properly
And the clutch line is done
Clutch feels more on/off, bit sharper, but whos to know if that was just because it was bled properly!
So, quite a few things done. I'm happy
And the cars in the bodyshop on the 18th April for the rust. YAY!

Added 20mm wheel spacers to the list. These are the (safe) hubcentric ones, not just a big washer style arrangement. £90 an axle though so pushed back to after the rust
Also got a new 5th gen intake to fit after some cleaning (and the EGR port caps removed and ports threaded by PA) and a new rocker cover to polish up and fit when doing the valve clearances.
So, need some more new gaskets/seals
