I know there's the +rep button but some things that I like don't necessarily deserve any rep, and I don't really want to add to the post count just to say "lol" or "I like this".

I'm sure many people would welcome this feature to the site, or is it just me?

I have also been found reaching for the like button lol !!!! ...... But I am a bit of a FB addict

I don't think I could cope. It gets me through my days at work. Without it, I might have to actually do something

I completely agree with what you mean about some way of letting someone know you enjoyed a post even after the conversation has moved on. I usually go over the forum late at night after work, which means I only get involved in conversation that happens at that time. It doesn't mean I don't body lemonade myself laughing at what you guys come out with over the course of the day though, and it'd be cool to be able to show that even after conversation has moved on  likewise, there's some massive profile threads on here, if I see something I thought was cool or impressive but it was work done months ago then it'd just be nice to have something you could flag to show the OP you thought they did some good work.

Err .. not meaning to be funny, but isn't this exactly what the rep is for? Someone has done something you like, so you click the thumbs-up, and they get a little thing in their rep list showing you approved of a post they made - regardless of when they posted it, and without breaking the flow of a thread.

Yeah I guess, but as I said in my first post - I don't necessarily want to give rep just because, for example, it made me laugh. Also rep points are limited to how many you can dish out in a certain time period... I like more than one thing quite often.

Yeah, I keep trying to rep people and get told I'm not allowed cos I forgot I repped them recently or I gave my last rep too soon... Maybe I should just try and remember who I've repped recently
