Wanted: 3rd Gen - Main Fuel Relay

Hi guys,

I’m after a 3rd Gen Main Fuel Relay for a 2.0i 4WS model please.

See picture below:

Is there something up with your old one? Is it the same issue that impacts 4th gens? The engine won't start once the car has been warmed up?

Yes correct - it blows the fuse too when connected. I’ve had the same issue in the past with my 4th Gen’s.

It is possible to fix these relays, it might be worth having a go if you can't find a new one. You need to get a soldering iron and take off the old solder and replace it with some new blobs. It is likely that the offending solder points are discoloured, so should be a bit easier to identify. It should only take 10 mins to do.

Thanks @Merlin. I’m looking to get a spare anyway as it seems to be a common issue. Once I get it started and moved, I’ll repair the broken one.

Now found. I was able to source one from Tegiwa for £60.00 with 2 years guarantee.
