Yeahs seems like a waste to go to all that effort and bury it

For comedy value I hope they carved big stone gentleman's sausage and balls on them

ahhh amazing! we don't give 'olden days us' as much credit as we deserve, we were awesomely skilled considering

Quite skilled but usually lacking sense too... the island doesn't have many trees because they cut them all down to use to move these statues around. So much so that there weren't enough to even build a boat to leave the island once they'd eaten most of the animals and plants. They then turned into cannibals and started eating eachother.
