Nathan, are you gonna paint the rocker cover on the deck? I'm thinking about painting it to match the car. I can do the one off your spare deck if you want it in the same colour as I've got to get enough paint for the wheels and the valve cover, so should have enough to do yours too if you wanted.

Not for the time being no. I was gutted as the VC on the donor is immaculate, but it's because it's pressed tin, and therefore different fitment to the aluminium one's from our EXi's
Thanks for the thought though

New Racing Composite R40 Wheel Nuts
My new wheel nuts arrived today ready for my freshly powder-coated rims that should be making an appearance on Friday
...

I have 4 spare
...

There's 4 locking nuts and they all have an intergrated tapered washer so they don't chew up the paint...

Just need to clean up the valves in preparation now...

Re: Nathan's '89 CA4 Accord Aerodeck
Seems a few are having a few issues just days before Japfest
Well I've almost joined the few ludes that can't make it (but with my Aerodeck, not the lude
). I was hoping to have my CV joint(s) replaced this week. My ex-honda technician neighbour kindly offered to replace the driver's side as the boot had split and pissed grease all around the inside of the rim. The joint has been making a noise ever since I got the car, but I finally wanted to do something about it... Mainly because I didn't want to fit my newly painted rims and have it body lemonade grease all over them again
I was going to swap the whole drive shaft assemblies from the donor, but I completely forgot that it doesn't have ABS
Anyway, my neighbour got rained and worked off yesterday, so came around after work today to do it.
... Turned out Motorfactors had supplied me with the wrong bloody CV joint
Turns out the one I was given is for the twin cam engine, which mine is not. So he's hoping to get the right one from his parts supplier tomorrow
Worst come to worse though, he said he could just fit a new boot over the old joint and pack it full of grease to get me to the show on time
So she's just put her feet up for now...

Not something one hears everyday!!!nitin_s1 wrote:Love your nuts.

Damn man, I take it they gave you the 100 tooth ABS ring one instead of the 50 tooth one?
I need to do my CV joints too, as one of mine has been making a noise since before I bought it, but it's not spitting grease, and it only makes noise on full lock very occasionally, so it's not completely gone yet, but I'll get that done soon though.
