no vtec fun just yet

got it booked in for an alignment at CLCM on Tuesday morning.
also replacing the front tyres (nexen blue hd+) after only 6-7k miles - bad wear on outer shoulder both sides but passed mot ok- both rears are fine.
In fairness i have had some new suspension parts (upper wishbone and front track rod end) hence getting an alignment. but ive got to say the nexen tyres are a bit on the soft side so have a spare set of part worn potenza re002's to go on in their place.

bit of an update:
got alignment done but they couldnt get correct camber at rear due to bolts rusted into the bushes of the rear lca

ive got the full rear suspension polybushed ready to fit but wasnt planning on doing that so soon...might be time to look at getting some new shocks or coilovers as well.

the other thing ive been working on is a full exhaust system - after much running around im almost ready..the decat pipe is being made up this week and ive got all the gaskets - also need to find a front tow hook bar from a 4th gen as i removed the one from my lude when fitting the plm.

Are you taking off the tri-Y and fitting the FGK to it?

Not really sure what manifold&cat back to run. Im still working on the fujitsubo which is now thermal wrapped and painted gold

Just about finished the polybushed koni&eibach shocks&springs - here is a pic of the rear shocks going together. Ive used superpro bushing grease on them so they dont squeak

Seems a shame to stick such nice clean stuff on the underside of the car....

still undecided about using the konis and eibachs - edinburgh has many potholes and speedbumps so just need to be sure it wont cause any issue - it shouldnt as its only a 30mm drop and that worked out ok on my old BB4..but the BB1 is a considerably heavier car...figures from Honda would lead you believe its only 30 kilos or so difference but i think it is more than double that between my old BB4 and even older BB1.

here is a pic of the fuji manifold now with thermal wrap and a gold vht coating

yep the manifold has its own Golden Fleece...that thermal wrap is horrible stuff to handle
