This has been a great thread to follow. Thanks for all the contributions, I've learned a lot from your experiences. This is eactly why I use this forum.
...and great news on your 4ws working. Nice touch on the closing credits song....

My 4WS on my 2.2 Prelude is not working.
I just cannot zero the warning light........I do know how to as last year I got error code 24....then replaced the front main sensor and whoopie it all worked for a year.
I was driving down the motorway last month and the 4ws light popped up
Tried reset but it keeps flashing error code 20.....I replaced main sensor again and still no luck
I got a scope and tested all the outputs as per the manual
I get lovely square waves on A an B and also the Z gives 5v exactly when the steering wheel is at tdc
I also tested the output of the front sub sensor and confirmed it gives 0.9 volt when turned 1 way and then goes up to 4.5 volt when turned the other way.
All these tests were done on the pins of the ecu in the boot as described in the manual
I have soldered all the dry joints in the 4WS ECU
My steering alignment is perfect and i havent hit any curbes or potholes
So to me everything tests 100% ok
Ive ordered an ecu to try but doubt it will work
Any ideas guy?

Merlin
Is it worth adding anything to the wiki on this?
(the 5g 4ws manual link maybe)?
I've wondered about making this thread a sticky in the forum but not sure if that's the best way to go...

Update! I have installed the used ECU and whoopie it works...........i had no 4WS warning light and all was well for 12 miles......then the light came on again.
But I am able to zero the light so the system is working now as i was never able to reset the light with the old ecu.
I reckon i need to do a alignment zero calibration as the new ecu will have a different calibration point to my car
I will try on the weekend and let you know
