Life still looking very good - such a clean simple look on yours
Pull the abs code to find out which sensor. If it was originally coming on over bumps, I would lean towards it being in the cable to a sensor, but see what the codes says and then test that sensor with a multi-meter to see if the cable bells out ok or not.

Want to keep it like that, no messing around
Still need to give a look to that, light is permanently on, now, (ABS).
when I start the car and start driving it, I can hear the normal noise, but then the light comes up straight away

I had the same thing on my 5th Gen I changed the abs motor an all fine after that

Will see soon what's going on, I'm just lazy and makes no difference to me abs or no abs, when you used to drive old cars with no abs, having a lack of it is normal

Yep, not such a problem on a 2ws lude - has pretty serious implications on a 4ws though!

Just be aware that it (shouldn't) pass the MOT with the ABS fault light on.

I know , MOT will be in February, so definitely will give a look before when changing the discs and pads

Last Saturday, was going to London, and 2h away from home and 2h way from London I stopped for some food, and the distributor was doing a rattling noise.

As I couldn't know how long it would survive, decided to go back home to pick the other half civic, and start the journey again.

7 miles from home, lost power and a few seconds after gone. Quick break down to be honest

Glad I did hear the noise and didn't carry on going all the way down to London to breakdown 4h away from home

134£ spend, new rotor arm and cap, new set of spark plugs and is running smoothly again

If you read the free parts thread Nika there be parts going when we meet up next couple boxes of alsorts so you maybe able to find something you need same goes to archie to so remember to get there early next time to get first dibs, glad you got your car fixed still gathering bits for mine so I can get it in the garage

Sucks that it failed on you, but yep, great job picking up the noise, dissing out what it was and deciding to turn back home - obviously a great decision!
