Type S fuel recommendation.
Quick question as I could not find it on search.
What minimum RON rating of fuel needs to be used in a Type S?
I'm sure many would use 99RON but here in Spain I can only get a maximum of 98RON premium. If 99RON is obligatory for it to run right then I need to use a 98RON fuel/octane booster mix.
I don't have a TypeS but I do want to run the TypeS ECU in my h22a8 vti.
cheers guys and girls.

Of course Vtecmec, I didn't state the question correctly. What I should've said was: "What is the minimum RON recommended for the typeS so that it can run at its full potential?"
What I didn't want to do was to put 98 in the car and and have the knock sensor hold it back, or on the contrary, use an octane booster to achieve 99RON (by rule of thumb) and it just be wasted.

This is an interesting read Ratty

I thought the same as you. I think it's more they don't do nearly as much as you think (or as the companies say). In this case it would be used to avoid knocking and bring the fuel up.to standard. Not as "magic nitrous"
