I ordered a downpipe and it must of been for a 4th gen as it was about 3inches to long so I had to chop it and re weld the flange back on ,
Also the two mounting bolts do not line up either , but I noticed it did sit up a little higher so I have gained a little bit more ground clearance so that's a silver lining I guess

donald posted up all the 5g exhaust size info somewhere...Scott560 wrote:Can anyone confirm the difference in downpipe lengths between h22a5 and h22a8?
I had trouble with a decat in the past on my h22a5 being the wrong length, but i guess that means cat+mid section are different between versions, and downpipe is the same? MY logic is it cant just be the cat that is varying lengths!
If someone can confirm the downpipes are the same for h22a5/a8 then ill have nothing to worry about (exhaust is completely standard).
I'm not worried about gains - i just don't want to fit cheap £60 ebay downpipe to my car as it'll rust through in under 2 years no doubt.
There is some info in the wiki but not exactly that.
