Cruise Control - Auto Gearbox to Manual Swap

Post by Lankysod07 » Wed Aug 16, 2017 12:29 pm

Heya Guys,

So ive had my Prelude now for sometime and unfortanutly the cruise control has never worked.

The light on the switch lights up but its doesnt engage, when I bought my car it had just had a auto to manual swap so I thinking the issue is to do with the swap.

Is there something that I need to change in order to get it working? Is there something within the ECU?

I have all the cruise control parts off an auto if you guys think it might be something that broken rather than incompatibility with the manual setup?

All ideas and advise would be appreciated :) 8-)

I have the same issue on my lude after the auto to manual swap. Pretty sure it's just a wire that hasn't been plugged in :?:

Was the original wiring loom used with the swap :?: if so you will have all the spare plugs that connect to the auto box.

Manuals have switches on brake and clutch pedals to disengage Cruise if they're pressed, maybe something around the clutch pedal switch?

From memory (it was 11 years ago!) and on a 4th gen, there is a wire going from the cruise ECU to the gear selector.

It was a pink cable on mine and needed grounding for the cruise to work.
