don't mind shiny... I think he's just suggesting something like this...

As for your actual problem... If your fluid level is that low, then you probably have a leak and with the fluid level that low, the pump may be getting starved.
Get it topped up asap and if you're lucky that will be all that's needed. If you're unlucky, then it may have already caused some damage and yep, your pump be on the way out...

That means there is air in the system and it's foaming up the oil. Top it up and leave the cap open and turn the wheel lock to lick a few time with the engine on. That should remove the air lock.
