Re: 5G Prelude with SWAP and turbo
I didn´t have too much time to try it, but it is much better. During normal cruising the temperature after 30 minutes drive was 100 degrees celsius on oil.
What are your oil temperatures?

Thats still quite high. Not too high but for normal cruising..
My cooler is directly in the airflow and the temperature is around 80 degree C when I drive it hard on the track.
Same as my water temperature.
See If you can get some air through it. Maybe two small 12v computer fans or a hose to supply the air.

Re: 5G Prelude with SWAP and turbo
my cooler is also directly in the airflow, but my turbo is cooled only with oil
where do you have oil temperature sensor?

where do you have oil temperature sensor?

My temp sensor is in the oil pan.
O I can see now, forgot the 5th has a grill in the bonnet itself

Re: 5G Prelude with SWAP and turbo
I modified the original one, cut off the midle section and veld the holesNafemanNathan wrote:Just noticed your grill is like mineDid you modify an OEM one or were you able to buy one like that?
My sensor is also on sandwich plate under the oil filter , so I measure cooled oil temperature from cooler.
But I still thinking if is my gauge or measurement OK or wrong.
I have expensive MTX-D: Digital, Oil Temperature and Pressure Gauge Kit, but it is crap because the oil temperature can be show only with colour scale and I don´t exactly know how the exact temperature is. I only can set the alarm light at any temperature. Only thanks to this funkcion I know if is my temperature behind or under settted value.
This gauge can show exact only oil pressure.
Next step what I want to do is try to fit bonnet with holes, which can helps lead away hot air what is under bonnet.
If this will not help, I will try to change the oil temperature sensor and gauge. And if this will not help

I use the mtx d too. You can change the when colour the temp represents. Mine is green until about 90degrees, then yellow until 110 then red after that. Mine rarely goes into the yellow.haRRibo929 wrote: I have expensive MTX-D: Digital, Oil Temperature and Pressure Gauge Kit, but it is crap because the oil temperature can be show only with colour scale and I don´t exactly know how the exact temperature is. Re: 5G Prelude with SWAP and turbo
yes you can, but it is useless, you don´t know exact temperature only approximately
I expected more for that money
