The ATR already has an H22 surely? (an A7). It's about as good as the H series gets, so I guess you would do this for some reason other than performance.
The ECUs are different, the distributors are different, etc etc. It depends on what you mean by a 'straight swap'.

Does it still have the lump in it? If so swap the intake and exhaust and dizzy over from the a7 and you should be fine. Atrs are ob2b as opposed to the a8 which is ob2a. Youll have issue with the iacv and iat sensor amongst other things i can remember due to wine if you use the a8 intake manifold
Youd be best sticking with the u2q7 box as that is what really makes an atr an atr imo

If you use bare A8 - it's identical to A7. So you will have the same power.
Use everything else from A7, such as intake, exhaust, loom, everything, and it will be identical. In other words, unscrew everything that is possible, take out A7, put in A8
A7/A8/TypeS H22A has identical internals, as far as I remember. Cams and pistons have the same part numbers, as I have cheked many years ago. So beside intake, exhaust, ECU and other bolt-ons - these are identical engines. Just Type S head is factory ported and polished (which you can do too).
In general, you can exchange any H22 to any other H22, if you use all the bolt-ons. I have A8 in my 4th gen.
By the way, the H22A you have, is from which car? If it's from 4th gen it will have 50mm main bearings. A8/A7 have 55mm plus a bit better cooling. Might be useful info when deciding which engine to use for track car.

If you transfer the ATR "PDE" sump, make sure you also transfer the oil pickup as well.
