**ANGRY POST ALERT** :x :x

Second polybush kit I have brought and it doesn't fit.

My mechanic even phoned tegiwa and sent them a picture and even they said it wouldn't fit because it's for the American model and not the JDM. He also showed me the picture and I can see how it doesn't fit.

Seriously frustrated and half tempted to sell it to someone who's got the time / money / know how to get it sorted.

I haven't got the money to keep wasting on wrong parts nor the time. I didn't buy it to be a daily car , I did however buy the car to enjoy and drive wherever I want to which I haven't been able to.

Whilst we're on the subject any ideas how much I could get for it?

The only bad points are that the bonnet, roof and front and back bumper need respraying and a few bushes need replacing as a result of the coilovers fitted however the interior is mint, it's got the DC5 Alloys and will be potentially sold with a motegi kit included (just not sprayed or fitted)

Can you post up the pictures you've mentioned?

And what are the part numbers of the first and second lot of bushes?

:?
So you ordered the right kit, but Tegiwa have sent you the wrong part?
Surely you are looking for them to exchange that for you, for the right kit?

Tegiwa are renowned for shocking customer service, so definitely don't take their word as Gospel, but post up what you ordered and what you've received each time and we can help you from there.

I don't know much about polybush kits but possibly they assumed yours is a JDM Type S which would have same suspension as a USDM SH. But really an Sir S Spec has the base suspension design. Could possibly be the error?

I haven't got the picture of the Bush not fitting unfortunately!

The first set of bushes were for a 4th gen which I brought on here the second set are the only polybush set tegiwa sell for 5th gen! Will get some pictures up this evening (was busy last night)

Well, that's the problem on there website It doesn't specify a model it literally just says 97-01 so I was under the impression that it would fit all models as it doesn't state anywhere that it doesn't :(

I'm going to phone them later and see what they say! I'm hoping for a refund to be honest.

And I think that might potentially be the problem because I'm sure in the box it says for SH models, just the problem is it doesn't specify this on there website! I'm not sure if they sell the Base polybush kit!

Thanks for the help by the way everyone however I'm very close to selling it even though I don't want to!! :?

I just looked at their website bud. Unfortunately they do list a part number and it's 16.18113 (for the HyperFlex Master Kit Honda Prelude 97-01 Type SH).

They've also included the part number 16.18106 in the description (which is for HyperFlex Master Kit Honda Prelude 92-96), but that's because they're lazy and haven't editted it after copying the 4th gen desciption

I know I keep saying it, but really most of the 4th gen kit you have should fit. And I know it'll be painstaking, but each of the bushes should have their part numbers written on them. If you let us know exactly which ones you have we could go from there. Unfortunately that's really all the help I think we can offer from here.

Ah I completely missed that. I still think I'm going to struggle to find the right kit. In all honesty I think I'm going to put it up for sale!

I didn't expect it to be plain sailing but I cant even enjoy the car despite the fact I've spent quite a bit of money on it.

Not sure how much I could get for it though! I know that mint White s spec sold for £3000 but that was underpriced

Considering mines low mileage, meister coilovers fitted and will be sold with a motegi kit do you think £3250 would be a fair valuation?

I know someone on this forum will have the Know how / patience / finances will have the money to get it completely mint. In all honest it isn't far off other than the cosmetic parts mentioned in this thread.

But their listing doesn't say it's for 97-01 Type S (SH).
It says it's for 97-01 full stop, so it's still their error.
You shouldn't have to look up on the manufacturers website to find that actually, it's not for all 5g's...
(I'm sure we're in agreement on that Nafe, so I'm not suggesting you think otherwise)

Basically, it looks like they have sent you what they stock and what you ordered, however their listing description is wrong.

Just looked on energysuspension and it makes it clear that set does not fit the "base" (non Type-S/SH) model.

TBH, it's also jobby that they say they 'could be black or red' - there are different es part numbers for red and black (black has 'G' suffix, red has 'R' suffix) so they really should be specifying.

As Nafe says, Tegiwa are not renowned for good customer service. Hopefully they will accept they have incorrectly listed the item, however and return it.

Full details on what bushes use and fit where, in this thread.
