So after a short delay the polybush kit has arrived and it's booked in to get the front end done tomorrow...

Finally will be able to enjoy the car properly.

Although it has started to idle below 1000 revs, it sometimes goes as low as around 500

Any ideas why this could be?

It should be idling around the 750 revs mark, although the clocks are never that accurate.

When you say it's going between 1000 and 500, do you mean it's surging without you touching anything, or is it dropping after you rev and take your foot off the accelerator?

Also does it matter what temperature the engine is?

Ahhh okay

So like I'll pull up to traffic lights, it will settle at the normal revs for like a second and then drop quite low until I accelerate again, it doesn't bounce or anything just drops quite low

 I definitely missed that!

And nope, it does it warm or cold! Do you think it could be the ICV?

Yep, the IACV would be my first port of call if it's doing it what ever the weather ;)

It's a common, easily remedied with a good clean issue. Start there and let us know :)

Nice one :D

Thanks a lot - will get my mechanic to have a look while he's fitting the bushes!

Just thought, it could also be if there's any air trapped in the coolant system. Have you done any work to it recently?
