As @NafemanNathan no way is this near the end for the BB4. You'd have to be mad after the pennies you have put into her.

Also you don't need arches to do a 1/4 mile (lightweight being used) Also a replacement joint and caliper. Nothing a quick weekend job wouldn't sort.

Luckily you have the bb1 to daily while you fix the bb4.cant believe how much bad luck your having parking in Edinburgh! Think it's time you moved house and got a garage

But in all seriousness it's really frustrating I bet but try get the arch repair done again and get it welded.people have no respect anymore,That street of yours has been a warpath of constant bumps and scrapes and yet nobody has left a Note or admitted fault

Get yourself some enthusiasm to fix it up again the car is to good to scrap!
Meantime you still have the BB1

ach what a bummer ! did you find out who done it? hope they had the decency to come forward.

but you would be mad to call it quits after that, but your having no luck with parking in Edinburgh

Ive got a replacement arch i can do for £100, full panel.
best doing it properly this time bud

I know how depressing it can be so see the car as a money pit. Be positive and do one job at a time and it will come together.

im going to have a look tomorrow and see if i can use a spare front wing i have to do this repair
-thanks for the offer of the arch @lucas i should know tomorrow and will let you know.

i dont really have any spare cash to throw at bodywork repairs -and to get the car looking right would mean many weeks in the bodyshop with a huge bill at the end of it

if i cant get it fixed up on the cheap then i may just have to look at sorning it but id have to find somewhere to store it
real shame as its runs and handles the best it ever has and i know i would miss driving it

Need to get one of those dash cams that wakes up when it detects a jolt for the turds that can't park round your way

i need two of them - one for each lude. I have an alarm on the BB1 but i park some distance away from my house so never hear it but ive realised that the brake lamp warning light illuminating on start up is there to tell you that car has been bumped and/or alarm has gone off - its not really much use as there is no dash cam to record anything. I wish id realised earlier about the brake lamp warning light - ive replaced the rear clusters and bulbs in the high level thinking there was an probelm with them

bit of waste of time today - worked on rear caliper only to realise problem is that the handbrake cable has stretched and needs replaced.
also the front wing i was looking to use as a fix for the rear arch was the wrong side

Sorry to read that.

As others have said though, that damage really isn't anything like a death knell for the lude. Can well understand the pain/frustration though!
