Guys im picking up a set of EL dials tomorrow as it happens from an 94 lude (Import). Now mines is a 92 import with just the standard dials will I need any loom or anything with it?
Any advises would be appreciated.

not sure if its plug and play with el dials onto a preface jdm vtec
i know the ukdm el dials (facelift) are a straight swap onto jdm facelift and this does away with the need for convertor chip and that also removes the limiter.
i have seen el dial in a preface but dont know if the loom was altered. what i did notice is that preface ludes dont have the dimmer adjustment so dials can be appear a bit faint.
maybe check a few threads such as mart609 or vtecmec etc sure some info will be on there

Take the whole dash loom if you can. I did that, and it just worked bar an extra earth connection i had to make.

Yep, I put UK face-lift EL dials into my UK pre face lude. As indigolemon says, grab the whole loom. On mine it was a straight swap, bar an extra earth as we only got one spec of VTEC lude in the UK. In Japan, everything was an option so you may have some loom checking to do.
Also, the dimming issue is down to a different dimming unit behind the fuel and temp gauges, so if you can, get that with the EL dials too and it will dim correctly.
