But when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

Elbow crutches are definate kickers buddy. Or arm flails rather.
So i utilised duos little tip and it worked. Dust boot in place. I just need to fill the caliper and bleed it.

They can be a pain to get out.lewd lude lover wrote:Rears are all good. Accord type r fronts not so good. Seized, cant get the pistons outthey will either have to be sent off for full refurb at a company i know or ill have to buy a second hand set. Damn you 5year garage storage......
To get mine out I had a screwdriver with no bit on and put it down through the banjo bolt hole against the piston (I was replacing the piston anyway). Then I just hammered it out, not heavy blows otherwise apparently it can damage the bore.
If not, bike pump (even better a compressor if you have one) and a tire valve can apply enough pressure to force the piston out.
Best of luck either way, I've recently had a marathon with brakes myself

Once they are far enough out pliers ir grips but it will probabaly still require new pistons (brakes international).
I'm sure you know but if you can get a seal and the compressor method to work don't let it blast one piston all the way out before the other has started moving.

Ah I see, give it a try it can't hurt. You might be pleasantly surprised, mine looked pretty bad as well but were fine. Then again mine were sat for 6 months not 5 yearslewd lude lover wrote:Atr calipers have two pistonsneither line up with the hole.

Craig, I hadn't ever thought of doing it like that, will remember that for next time I need to sort pistons out
