Hi everybody!

No big news , i just find some time to measure the weight of some internal parts of my engine.
Maybe it'll help somebody one day, who knows

-Prelude Type S piston ( fully naked) : 365 grs

-Accord Type R piston ( fully naked) : 365 grs  ( amazing as they didn't have the same shape  )

-H23 rod ( complete but without bearings and without pin) :573 grs

- balancer shaft: 1834 grs and 1550 grs

-balancer belt pulley : 556 grs

I've got a very accurate scale ( 0.1 gr) but i've take the mesurements outside and with the Wind, it was difficult to be more precise...

My next step will be to "balance" the weight of the pistons, the rods and then the assembly.
Accord Type R , "what else"

:? That balance shaft is heavy. Didn't realise there was that much mass in it!
Shiny shiny sexy looking pistons BTW. Impressive 8-)

Thanks a lot Wurlycorner :D

About the balancer shafts , i still have to measure the balancer shaft pinions and the cover , i'm pretty sure we are close to 4.5 kgs of weight saving by removing these shafts ,even with the weight of the plugs for the oïl pump :D

About the pistons, i have to do the same onto the combustion chambers

Hi everybody! :D

Balance shaft cover weight: 859 gr
Still didn't find where i put the balancer shaft pinion but the actual total weight removed is a little upper than 4.7 kg

No real news here, as i bought a shorter final drive, now i didn't have any pennie to finish the build...

But it is just a matter of time, i hope to have the money before the end of this year and i still have work to do before the assembly.

I have done some deglaze tests on the H23 bare block, with a nylon brush mounted on a drill    and honestly , the result is pretty good :o :o :o
I'll take some pictures as soon as possible :D
