Have a wing mirror (passenger side) where mirror moves in one direction only.
Have a spare mirror (wrong colour!) but the motor is supposed to be good.
Is it possible to swap the motor over without specialist tools etc?
Saw a post showing a JDM folding mirror where the mirror was clipped in and removable.
Not sure if this applies to uk type 5th gens.
Any advice appreciated.
Peter

To clarify - that's In Car Entertainment - not frozen water

I've done it on a 4th gen. Quite straight forward once you've prised the mirror off, the only complication you'll probably have is the electrical plug for the loom will need unlocking from the wiring, then once back together you refit it. I'd imagine the 5th gen is exactly the same process.

Update.
Got the spare mirror apart which wasn't too difficult but getting the three small leads out of the main connector plug is proving difficult. I have prised open the retainer flap and tried to unlock the pins from the plug body but to no avail to date. Is there a special way of unlocking the pins from the plug??
