Wheel nuts?

Post by alinton » Sun Mar 12, 2017 10:49 pm

Anyone have a source for some good quality, steel, black (ideally, or maybe silver) wheel nuts for my 4G?

Not the aluminium crap, I'd like decent steel ones.

Ta

If you want steel then your choice is pretty much endless. You don't necessarily need to go for a brand, just some you like. Expect to spend anywhere between £25 and £60. EBay is your prime spot.

Ta - these are M12 x 1.5, is that the correct thread for the 4G? I thought it was 1.0mm.

1 is too tight, make sure you get the correct shape too for your wheels (domed or tapered).

Realised I actually liked the wrong nuts
I bought tuner nuts, but they were from that seller.
They do all sorts of steel wheel nuts, in all sorts of colours (including the black you want). That was really the point I was trying to make.

Ok ta. So can someone confirm what the correct thread pitch is?

1.0mm or 1.5mm?

Thanks

Ive got quite a few sets of wheels nut sitting in a drawer - id be glad to send you a set - the coating/plating on most new ones doesnt seem to last very long but the original big chrome ones that came with the BB4 when it was imported from Japan 18 years ago are still good. I dont go in for tuner style nuts or lightweight stuff mainly because there are so many forgeries and quality of material is very poor. Steel ones do the job ;)
