The OEM Prelude - Bullet Dodged
So sad.....

Another look at the offending bolt:

Bonnet up:

Todays udate:
"so this morning’s update ……….. we’re up & running ! We’ve run the car in the workshop with no apparent sign of any issues & Richard has just completed a 2 mile road test in the car with no reported problems. We are currently going to let the engine cool down for 2/3 hours, re-inspect & then providing everything checks out, carry out a longer 10 mile ish road test this afternoon.
Still keeping my fingers crossed !"
Finally got confirmation:
"Everything fine as if nothing had happened"
A report has been sent to Honda UK along with pictures. Will await Honda's verdict.
I still can not believe that the engine didn't suffer some sort of damage, pure luck!
The Lude gods smiled on me for sure.

I definitely hadn't engaged warp drive when the belt went. That's good news, felt certain it was an interference engine.Gayno wrote: I'm sure the H22 is non-interference providing you're not in VTEC, so as long as everything is in adjustment then there should be no damage to the valves or pistons
