No real update here, as i finally noticed that my spare oïl pump was coming from an F22 engine
So the welding job was done for nothing and i decided to not weld my H22 oïl pump , the pump casting is so different that i think it will be hard for me to weld it without bending it

Actually i have asked to a friend machinist to make some aluminium plugs for the shaft holes , for the small holes, i'll plug them with screws and then, i'll start the porting job...

Actually i'm in Holiday so if possible, i'll begin to clean the engine block and do some paint job on it ... i already collected the manual tensionner parts from the H23 block and i have modified the tensionner bearing.

Some news here...

Yesterday it was a fully complete H23A2 bottom end...

Image

Tomorrow it will be gone, as one cylinder wall is scored too deep and the block need to be overbored... and the nearest machinist who accept to do it is asking me the price of a complete good working engine

The reason why it goes to the garbage:

Image

What happend to this engine? A cheap eBay turbo kit and no tuning... ( and a boost controller failure)

Yes, as you can see, broken ringlands    , but fortunatly the crankshaft is in good shape , all the journals are in really good condition :D

See you soon for the next step!

Thanks for the support, Drax :D

Finally, i kept the H23 bare block, first to train myself for the cylinder deglaze , and also because one day i may find a solution to overbore it... ... or to sleeve it, who knows

The next step is to find someone who can balance my crankshaft for a decent price, if possible in France but if not, i'll send it in UK.

Never mind the ring lands... The tree growing out of iT is quite a problem too, imo!
;)

What's the plan for a block, then.

Finally some news

After being ill ( flue  ) , i found some time to work on my build.
The oïl pump is pluged , now i have to clean it and it will be ready :D

Image

I also prepared the rods, now i have to clean the pistons and the piston pin, then i'll balance all the parts, maybe i'll lighten a little bit the rods but i have to weight them before...
