well i say go for it m8 :D
it is what floats your boat that counts :D on any other colour lude i would agree would look bad ;)
but i think that the black squares would almost colour match our Phantom grey and the gold would be BOLD!!!

your sunroof finish would have to be glass smooth but if you got the skillz NIKE :D

wet look, 3d look, who cares its still mat. unless there is a way of covering it. originaly i wanted to carbon skin it, but now wonder if it would close ok as it would make the sunroof pannel larger. the idea of using 2d vinyl was to add a laqure for depth. the only reason i am thinking this is my paint is 21 years old, if i spray paint the pannel will it match  supose if i were to skin just the top of the pannel it would be ok, just dont really fancy all the rubbing (its a large pannel) does anyone know if phantom grey pearl fades as my lude was registered new in 1991, must be the oldest 4g here  , i did do some chips away kinda thing with a touch up a couple of years back and it was fine, but then they are very small.

my Phantom Grey Pearl is Dec 1992 and just fitted rearbumper+euro lip (was cassis Red) and respryed VS spoiler. the sprayer got the 2pac mixed at his local supplier and it was a spot on match even before cutting and buffing.

The only thing I can think of is if you take your carbon rap to a decent sign shop they could laminiate it for you get them to do a small piece first so you can see the finish effect
