Ooh JUN goodness! 8-)

Has he welded the mount bracket to the bottom of the exhaust or just welded the whole flexi section the wrong way around altogether  :? That is very poor workmanship for such a valuable rare part :|

Some of the exhaust shops over here are absolutely shocking!

Welded it back on the wrong way round.

I could excuse him for it as he only had this piece to work in but you would think some notes or reference would have been used.

2 hrs drive away too so will just get it fixed locally during the week but yeah was a big let down, friends of friends tut tut.

After an episode with lude 2 i thought i'd cheer my self up and get the headers on and all was going good but noticed the bolt on the drivers side that holds the headers in place were they meet the 2 section had gone and and sheered off and probably along time ago too

Image

Ok not the worse problem so i sprayed up the LHS one to ease it out before going at it and that i did slowly but sadly it gave in aswell

Image

Also before those face palms are put away for 2016 have another one on me

Image

Wtf! Could only be my luck.

Got seller on straight away claims his system was custom and i knew of that somewhere along the line but i was never told they needed altering with the purchase bar the 2 section been replaced out and last week i got a shop to cut and swap the section right way round to find this, was also told it's an easy fix for an exhaust shop, not happy folks.

Have hinted at a refund which seller says cannot afford to,just abit over it for the money spent and the need to spend more but seller says he can fork up $100 after christmas, maybe i should throw in the towel for this year cos it's not ending on a high

Anyone advice on the gasket for the 4-2 section? it didn't come with one, bottom right of this pic
Image

and the cat converter one has seen better days too

Image

There was a huge difference in weight over stock and they look very beefy compared to oem on a trial fit 8-)
Image

Pretty shocked to find most of the manifold nuts were easy to remove, way too easy like close to loose
that'll explain the black tint on the rocker cover over the months between cleans.

Just putting stock back on for now, will deal with this after the festive period :bat:

Massive bummer. That's downpipe is totally different, as you say! Would expect that to be mentioned I think.
Downpipe gasket looks similar to a fujitsubo one tbf? But you'd need to check dimensions etc. to be sure...

The oem joint between the cat and downpipe uses a crush ring, not a gasket.

It is mate it is,bummer, just the worse to be halfway there and to get the downpipes side by side and notice the situation.

The car is on stands since, enjoying the holidays resting up.

Crush rings/gaskets all round then, just seeing the aftermarket headers originally came with a gasket piece made me want to keep the trend.

Image

Will give it a week and knock for some refund and get it booked in to get it done, not to say i was mislead but a misunderstanding maybe but either way i shouldn't have had to take this route.

It was a toss between cars for the wheel and bb4 won,it looks and feels nice in comparison to the horrible stock one.i

It needs some lacquer/resin?refurb which i will attend to further down the line.

Shed half the weight too in the swap and now my horn works too, always been faulty turns out the oem one had baked on gunk were the springy metal piece made contact on the back of the wheel, sorted :D

Also if you see the first pic it shows the shift gator in leather red stitching can anyone point me in the right direction to get a piece to bring the gator up to the shift knob nicely?using a small cable tie for ages and recentley tried one of these Ebay jobbies but it was too big and didn't leave enough thread to screw in the Momo knob.
