Drive drive drive test test test I hope..
What happened this winter..
Its a long story again..
Had tons of issues, especially with my engine builder who screwed me over. He ordered the wrong pistons (8.0:1) and wouldn't take them back. forgot a serious part in the engine ,see below. and did a shitty job welding my oilpan because now its leaking. Took ages before I got the engine back too..
Did find myself a sponsor.. Its not much but every penny helps.
They are paying half of the Time attack register and pitbox costs this year.
All the stickers. And I get all parts at trader price.
After I reinstalled the engine it ran fine and started right up.. so took it to the tuner.. but something was wrong..
I had no VTEC...checked the solenoid, took the cylinderhead appart. didn't find a thing wrong..
Cheked everything..
I did go driving on the track ( didn't rev it above 5000rpm) as I did want to show up and do a few laps for my sponsor.
Straight after the race I measured the oilpressure in the head.. it was wayyy to low.
The oilpressure sender from the guage in my car was before the remote filter and cooler, it did build up pressure there so I never noticed
took the cylinder head off thinking the passage might be blocked or something... nothing wrong..
Moved the oilpressure sendor in the oem location and also hardly any pressure in the bottom end..
I was about to change the oil pump when I noticed a big hole... where my piston oil jets should have been..
All the oilpressure was going straight down into the oil pan.. what an idiot builder..
I tried installing the jets I had from a spare engine, but the bolts seemed to hit my cranck shaft. I will try again when the engine is out next time.
So didnt put the oiljets in but plugged the hole , now the oilpressur is fine!.. .. heard its fine to run without the oiljets anyway..
Really hope the engine didn't get damaged by running a too low oilpressure.
After finally finding the oil pressure problem last week it suddenly wouldn't start.. found the main relay not getting power. fuse was good.. didn't have time so hot wired the relay and it runs.
Now the car is at the tuner again.. Hope its going to be ok now.. My next race is on the 7th of may...
The suspention is still not set up right either..
stressssssss
Here are the pictures..
test fit the widebody
refurbished the skunk intake
Found a second hand carbon bonnet. stripped/sanded/primered and mat blacked it with some custom vents.
Had to change the downpipe for the new turbo.
This was the oilpressure in the head at idle

. after the plug was installed is whent up to 6 KG/CM2
Cylinderhead removed to check the oilpassage
Here is the hole that should at least be plugged. With the drip/undertray installed its hard to spot.

Missing plug again
service manual with jets

My spare engine with plug and jets installed.
All black ready for stickers

All blacked out rear.
Origional stripped door with lexan: 19 kg (42 lbs)
Poly door with lexan 9kg (19 lbs)
Turbo bolts kept coming loose so welded the studs into the manifold, used nordlock washers, copper nuts and safetywired them...
Me in the pitbox just befor the first time attack
Pitbox shot
pitbox rear shot
track shots,
and last but not least some bay shots
