On a 16x7 wheel I would fit a 205/50/16 tyre. Or a 215/45/16. However I think the 205/50 would be better....on a 7" wheel.
Spend good money on tyres and a decent alignment.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

What are they like in the wet?Merlin wrote:I suggest that it is your setup rather than the tyres.TheHondaTuner wrote:Iam running 215 40 17 Federal RSR and iam NOT satisfied. Its understeering all the time. especially below 100kph cornering.
I have been using Federal 595 RSR's in that size for the last three years and they have been great.
I have a set of the new 888s on the starlet and they are awesome even without the alignment done!

Good enough that I don't need to swap over to the RainSport's unless there is a decent amount of water to shift.4thgenphil wrote:What are they like in the wet?Merlin wrote:I suggest that it is your setup rather than the tyres.TheHondaTuner wrote:Iam running 215 40 17 Federal RSR and iam NOT satisfied. Im running 195/50 or 55 R15 (cant remember which
) but im more than happy with them. Im also on Nankang NS2-R's so they arent horrendously expensive. The lude will happily out run some surprising stuff.

I have a PAW fast road GEO, polybushed, font and rear upper braces and Meister R's so my setup should be tip top.
205/50 R16 may be the recommended size but there isn't a huge choice in that size from what I can see. So far I have come up with this shortlist...
Kumho V70A - 205/45 R16 - £151.52
Toyo R888 - 205/55 R16 - £115.2
Toyo R888 - 215/50 R16 - £129.6
Toyo R888R - 205/45 R16 - £148.85
Yokohama AD08R - 205/45 R16 - £85.5
Yokohama AD08R - 215/45 R16 - £94.61
