TBH i see no happiness in this thread (the poll results speak volumes) so why let it perpetuate? The longer it rumbles on the more of a devide it is and can only make the situation worse.

Its a silly argument and no good can come of speaking about it any more.

It can be locked if you like. It's served it's purpose. Things were never really going to change dramatically, but at least everyone (most) are now aware that they may sometime need to tread carefully, and maybe think before they type. I know I've held off on god knows how many comments in just today already

I'm happy to do it if it keeps the piece
