What gasket for A7 Head on A2 Block?

What gasket for A7 Head on A2 Block?

Hey guys. I guess that a lot people here did this before so please tell me wich headgasket is the better choice 


ED9->ED9->ED9->EE8->EG8 DX->EK3->BB1->CG9->DC2->Astra F->EK3->BB1

Still looking for the info wich headgasket to go when i put an ATR Head on a Lude Block!

Its closed deck. I also thought id take the A2 gasket, but a mate said he *heard* that i should use A7 but he didnt know.. so.. thats why iam asking here^^ However TypeR gasketkit is way cheaper XD and its 10% off till evening.. :s

Still need a sure Info! Because my swap failed.. Head is oiling, but i guess the guy who milled it drokked up. But also maybe the gasket was wrong.. I used the A2 one!

The gasket you should use must be the one who goes with the block.
Open deck use the "MLS" head gasket, which need the as clean as possible surface to be used... but are a little bit stronger than the old style gasket.
Closed deck use the "graphite" head gasket, which is a little bit more tolerant with the surface quality.
So, with a H22A2, you have to use the graphite head gasket because the MLS gasket is designed to be used with an open deck block.
If you have oïl leaks with a graphite gasket, with a MLS style it will be worse

Thanks for the input! I found the problem, i compared the old H22a2 to the old h22a7 and both should do the job. But at 3 in the morning when i put on my head, i didnt compare the new one. They send me an h23 headgasket...
