4th gen VS 5th gen banter (Poll added)

i went to south mimms meet. there were maybe 8-12 preludes dotted about.

over a thousand pics uploaded to other forums contained No pics of preludes yet pics of Every other car there

Tbh the banter is inevitable in most clubs.
Had an FTO from 98 to 2008 and spent about 7 years on the club committee.
There was always banter between GR and GPX owners even though in real life theres really fk all difference in performance.
Bought my ST185 gt4 and then you get the faff/crate banter with the 205 owners.
It doesn't bother me at all really

omg i cant believe this is even an issue! i mean seriously!? seriously!??! i dont think a little bit of 4th/5thgen banter is going to destroy this forum from the inside out, im more than happy to admit im one of the worst for slating 5th's but by no means have i ever said anything that i would deem deeply offensive or malicous?

as said before i can understand being annoyed if someone were to go into your car's own thread and destroy it with generation motivated insults but that just doesnt happen on here??

fact of the matter is if it werent for the banter (be it 4th/5th or any other kind) this forum wouldnt be anything like as good as it is!

Iv had a 4th Gen and it wasnt enought to keep me on that side after a Type S drive. The 5th Gen front end WHEN DONE RIGHT is much better looking than the 4th Gen IMO.
I also prefer the harder lines of the 5th Gen.

Would i own a 4th gen again. Hell Yes. Id have all 5 Preludes if i could store them.
Id still have a 4th Gen over pretty much every other car. But i do prefer the Type S.

I will bum it until it rusts. <Now theres a sig for you.

Yeah, 4th gens are rust buckets (I should know rust is popping up all over place) but I don't throw a hissy fit when someone says it.
