I almost bought some of those! :D ... Until I realised I didn't actually need them   Still might get some for the Aerodeck once I've refurbed the wheels and they deserve them ;-)

Thanks :D, I can do all the things to this car that I would never dare do to/in my road car. Eg. sticker bombs, slamming it (later this week), worrying about weight etc..

Nafe - They feel nice quality ;)

C's Racing short shifter

Post by Merlin » Wed Apr 25, 2012 9:15 am

I have identified my short shifter after not knowing what it was. I was on PreludePower and saw someone with the exact same. It's a C's Racing short shifter, apparently its what the forbidden shifter is based on, hence the same square bottom bit.

Cool. Looks identical to the FM one, apart from the FM one has 3 different locations for the linkage. And that guy makes out he's really innovative

There have been a couple C's short shifters for the lude for sale on ebay a couple of time recently. Don't think they ever sold though as they were selling them at about £215!

... So nice find ;-)

After reading up a little it seems that C's Racing stopped making Prelude shifters about 10 years ago. I can't find their site though. Im sure all the Fijitsubo and Spoon gubbins were fitted to my car while it was still in Japan, I wonder if this short shifter was fitted in Japan or in the UK?

I imagine Japan as well then if the Jap owner was going all out.

Very nice find indeed! I'd say Japan too, who would pay £200+ for a shifter in the UK!

will try and find it if i can. was trying to find a FM but no-one has one for sale :(
while looking did find a site online talking about C's.
in usa they pay stupid amounts for one and did do a comparison against the FM.
was a very small family concern and very limited numbers were made ;)

I have a short shifter custom made by LUDE_STU on PUK, sadly think he's sold the lude now so isn't doing them any more. I may have one of only three in existence
