Re: White BB4 JDM 2WS UPDATE 01/05/16 crail raceway day and

I was getting some vibration from the drivers side driveshaft and I needed to do the cv joint there anyway so decided to strip the shaft down and inspect the inner bearings.the bearings were shot ( 2 out of 3 were ) and had metal all in the cup and in the rubber boot so I managed to salvage 2 bearings from an old shaft I had lying around and I used one bearing that had some life in it.cleaned all the bearings with the petrol and fitted a new cv boot and packed them with grease.Long, messy day but well worth while as its running perfect now :)

Re: White BB4 JDM 2WS UPDATE 11/05/16 DRIVESHAFT WORK

Post by lewie fraser » Tue Jun 07, 2016 2:17 pm

Been quite busy with the prelude the past few days.I removed the air conditioning which I have been wanting to do for some time now and I started cleaning the engine bay better since theres more room now.I am just waiting on my new belt to come then I ll remove the air con compressor. Everything else is out.I also got a chance to get to the front subframe better so whilst I was down there I had a good look over it and there not even a touch of rust there! same with the battray tray.I removed both parts of the battery and tray and sealed it in black hammerite along with both chassis legs and front subframe.i even removed the radiator to get In better so the job was done 100% and I am real pleased with it.

I also picked up an Accord type r front lip which will be going on the lude and its good fit onto the stock bb4 lip but it needs a little modification to be perfect. Its about 2/3cm too short.it also has 2 small cracks so I am to fix them and paint it in frost white.I have test fitted it and I really like it.its exactly what I wanted, very subtle but really makes the car look aggressive
