Coilover sleeve opinions needed

I need some opinions on Skunk2 coilover sleeves

Over the years I've had Skunk2 and Spax lowering springs, a few sets of Yellowspeed coilovers and one set of D2 coilovers on various Preludes.

Obviously proper coilovers have been the best, but at the moment, with a new house they aren't really an option.

I've found that on 2.0 cars, lowering springs leave the front of the car higher than the rear, perhaps because of the lighter engine. I don't want to run the car very low, a 40mm drop will be plenty, so my options are lowering springs which lower the front of the car more than the rear, or coilover sleeves.

I've only heard bad things about sleeves, but as I'm not lowering the car too much I wondered if they would be any good. I just want the thing to sit level.

If anyone has actually had a set and could point me in the right direction that would be great. And before anyone says just buy proper coilovers, with other financial commitments, I'm not planning on spending £600+ on suspension anytime soon, and good used sets are pretty rare, as you'll know.

There is a set of skunk 2 sleeves for sale on here at the moment (listed last week, IIRC). They were cheap.

The yanks love em and we don't, is pretty much the summary on what people think of them really

because we have corners and roads that are really made for horses and carts and extreme 4wd vehicles not the extreme straight and flat Merican roads

I had sleeves before (they came of the car already) I just found them very, very bouncy.
