In an attempt to cure my frustration and rampant OCD regarding cleaning the inside of wheels, I came across these little beauties t'other week. Bought them from the Malaysian equivalent of 'Poundland' and they work a treat. The entire assembly is rounded plastic so no danger of scratching and they really clean the rim effectively. After using it,the inside of each rim is spotless, which is very satisfying. It also cleans the dust and crap from the caliper and dust shields as well. Dirty wheel OCD cured.

Is there no job I won't tackle given my burst of new found bravery with paint stripper, primer and glossy white paint? I decided to spruce up the battery holder-downer thing as its tatty appearance has been bugging me for ages.
After stripping, wire brushing and a wipe down with solvent, I primed it and let it bake in the stifling heat. Tah-dah!

Then, I gave it its first light dusting just as the thunder clouds came rolling in. Rain stopped play I'm afraid.

Damn, I'll have to wait and see if play can resume after tea. Pity, as I was enjoying the job.

I don't know about yours Rich, but mine was covered in a kind of plasticky 'paint' that was a bugger to remove. Needed quite a bit of elbow grease and pulling the damn stuff with fingernails. I think the white will work with the strut brace uprights that I painted last week, I hope...
