Ferodo DS2500 vs standard Honda brake pads
I know they are said to be better, performance wise. But what about brake dust? How do the DS2500 pads compare with standard Honda pads? Do they give off more brake dust? Also, what is their performance like when cold? I ask this because years and years ago I had EBC RedStuff Ceramic pads, which were great when hot (and I mean HOT after a few emergency stops) but quite lifeless when cold.

I haven't used the DS2500 but I did use the Hawk HP+ for years. The two pads are comparable to each other. I never had a problem with the Hawks but they did generate a bit more dust.
You have ATR brakes don't you? I am using basic pagid pads at the moment with my ATR brakes (calipers, carriers and 300 x 28mm discs) and they do the job fine. TBH I would only look at an uprated pad if you were going on track.

I brought Ferodo DS2500 pads years ago when I had my 4th gen both front and back. Ended up selling the car as I lost my licence but kept the pads because I knew one day I would be back in a lude.
After a few golfs (gti and vr6) I ended up back in the lude I have now which when I brought it came with both standard OEM Honda pads.
I changed my rear ones about a year ago and I can feel the back of the car brakes better than the front. Personally I think Ferodo are far superior. As for brake dust I don't think its as bad as the OEM pads.
Hope this helps you mate.
Nice clean Lude by the way.
